For the bird lover, the walk-through aviary is over 100 feet long with 26 bird species, including spectacled owls, yellow (green and red) fronted parrots, scarlet macaws, peacocks, and keel-billed toucans. Bay of Islands (Paihia): Located right in the heart of the Waiomio Valley, the Kawiti Caves are home to thousands of luminous glow worms, breathtaking rock formations, and lush green rainforest.
