Dining Do’s and Don’ts Around the World

Think you know proper table manners? It turns out what’s perfectly fine etiquette in the U.S. might be inappropriate in other countries. For example, in Italy, you shouldn’t put extra cheese on your pizza. In France, you use your bread to push food onto your fork and when you’re done, put the bread on the table, not the plate. But if you’re in Thailand, eating with a fork is a no-no - you just use it to push your food onto your spoon. In India, you should finish all of your food, but in China, you should always leave a small portion.

So, it is best to do some research on the cultures of the country you are planning to visit before you leave.  Contact Travel, Tours & Cruises to plan your dream vacation.
